It all began with the founder, the soul of AtrotoS, Kamporoudis Nikolaos, who is a mechanical engineer. Since he was young, he was passionate about audio. He built his first amplifier kit when he was just 14 years old. One other passion he had was building and fixing mechanical and electrical equipment. He has worked in many engineering fields like pcb assemblies, handmade cables for military, high voltage transformers, wind turbines and a desalination plant.
But his greater passion has always been music and audio equipment. That is how he began to experiment with analog and phono cartridges. He had this idea, with the VMF design. Thanks to his engineering background he started experimenting with different materials and designs for 3 years, and the result of his persistence is the AtrotoS phono cartridges.
One of his main principles when he is building something is that “ high quality is our main objective, no matter how much money and time will be spent”. All his products are handmade paying emphasis on the details.
